We knew the night it stormed, that Opal would foal. What we didn't know was that it would be a colt. Arthur's Traveler has a history of throwing fillies - lots of them. So just minutes after booming claps of thunder and bolts of lightning, this colt was born - a lightning bolt on his face. At 6 months old, we checked with our friend and mentor, Morgan Riggs - should we geld him? He was a fine colt. Morgan said, "Geld." But he was spectacular - we just couldn't do it yet. We waited four more months, then asked again. Morgan said, "Keep him" and that's exactly what we did because we know this boy is worth keeping.
