These loveable characters bray because the sun is up, because they want attention or...just because! They approach you cautiously, but are ready and willing to have you scratch their ears, their chin, their rump - well, heck, just about anywhere you're willing to scratch!
This year, Sylvandell Farms acquired three additional jennets - Windcrest Little Trudy, a dark gray/brown, 33 inches; Derbytown's Bravo's Ebony, a 32 inch black; and Comfort's PMF's Kay's 92, a 32 inch gray-dun.
Along with Matilda and Jezebel, all are bred to Sarsparilla for early spring foals.

Klein's Sarsaparilla - 31 Inches
Our farm jack, Klein's Sarsaparilla, stands 31" at shoulder and he's quite a character - his bray as he runs across the field could make him eligible for the next Shrek movie!
Our donkeys are registered with the American Donkey and Mule Society. They are descended from Sicilian donkeys and are under the maximum height of 36 inches at the shoulder. All of our donkeys are well-behaved, very friendly, and just love people. They find children especially interesting. We think it's because they are small - just like them!
Why buy a Miniature Donkey? Donkeys make great family pets and you can use them to pull carts, as service animals for the elderly or the ill, or you own one just because you like to hear them bray. They are sweet, interested in just about everything, and very willing to please.
